Cinder is a boss from Stretch Panic and one of Linda's twelve sisters. She can be fought at the start of the game; it costs one point to initially enter her arena.
Appearance[]
Cinder is a female humanoid with an enormous head. She has light blue skin and bright pink hair that is tied into many low ponytails with coloured beads. Her eyes are small and white and she has an enormous mouth with zig-zag patterns inside, sharp teeth and a red uvula. She wears a sleeveless dress with wavy patterns of lime green, purple and green with a wavy orange collar.
Manual Description[]
Before she was possessed by the demons of vanity, Cinder always had an unhealthy fascination with fire. Now that she has been transformed into her own image of 'perfect beauty', Cinder's pyromaniac tendencies have once again resurfaced. Cinder's weak spot is her explosive adams apple, the fiery source of her power. When she breathes fire she is both at her most dangerous and vulnerable...
Strategy[]
Cinder is fought in a small room with a crackling fireplace. Her large size causes her to take up a considerable amount of space, and also be open to easy attacks from Linda. To traverse the room, she may either slowly walk around or fly through the air, using her hair as a thruster. Cinder can shoot bombs while standing still, which can be picked up and thrown at her to deal medium damage.
Cinder's main methods of attack involve her large mouth: she will either try to suck you in and eat you, or prepare to unleash her fire breath. If she sucks Linda in, she will rapidly chew her and then spit her out, causing heavy damage. While unleashing her fire breath, she will slowly rotate around her position to hit more space with it.
While using either of her main attacks, Cinder's uvula is exposed. If you pinch it, she will implode and take heavy damage.
Quotes[]
- "Ow!" (when attacked)
- "Mm, tasty!" (after eating and spitting out Linda)
- "Feel the burn!" (while breathing fire)
- "Now I'm really mad!"
Trivia[]
- Cinder's name comes from cinders, the remains of a burned substance that did not burn to ashes.
- In prerelease screenshots, Cinder's fire was more realistic, lacking the little faces used in the final version.
- This old effect was also used in early artwork.
