Dynamite Headdy is Treasure's second original game. It was originally released on the Sega Genesis, Game Gear and Master System. Sega and Treasure also planned to port it to the 32X but scrapped it due to the system’s low popularity. It is a platformer that plays similar to Capcom’s Bionic Commando and Sega's own Ristar. The game was released on Sega Genesis in 1994 and was praised by critics for pushing the genesis to the limit. A part of the game's appeal is the sheer wackiness of the whole game including the concept of the player playing as a puppet with a levitating head witch he throws in order to defeat enemies.
