Xi-Tiger is a major antagonist from Alien Soldier and he appears as the boss of the 9th stage in the game.
General Info[]
Not much is known about Xi-Tiger, other than the fact that he was one of the most brutal commanders in charge of the underground society known as "Scarlet". Because of his more brutal methods, he has been expelled from the members of the terrorist group when they wished for Epsilon Eagle to resume his former position as leader prior to his assassination. Following his banishment, Xi-Tiger decided to act on his own and so he launched an attack on the Indigo research institute in an attempt to find Epsilon Eagle. Meanwhile, Xi (posing as Kyosuke Toraya) held one of the girls (Kaede Nanase) as hostage and threatens to kill her if Epsilon does not reveal himself. Enraged, Fou Misaki transformed into Epsilon-2, a "birdman" with steel wings. Sensing an unknown power within Epsilon, Xi-Tiger fled the facility, but not before killing Kaede. Afterwards, Epsilon-2, flew off in pursuit of Xi-Tiger, with the intent of not only to avenge Kaede's death but also to fight on the behalf of humanity. The first half of the game revolves around Epsilon-2 chasing down Xi-Tiger while defeating his former comrades.
Extended Backstory[]
The backstory of Xi-Tiger began with his eldest "sibling" (or, so to speak), Sigma Fox, one of many genetically-modified creatures inadvertently created as a result of the "Alpha Plan" by the superhuman child genius Yu Misaki (the precursor to Fou Misaki). It also began with their "ancestor', Omega, an primordial lifeform believed to have been created by an unknown alien race from another galaxy and would one day be re-discovered by humanity.
